Services and Technology

Challenge
Lack of centralized, flexible analytics and reporting platform integrated with collaboration services.
Solution
Elitmind envisioned, designed, deployed, and is currently responsible for maintaining multi-server, scalable, and highly available Microsoft BI stack farms based on SQL Server2016, SharePoint 2016, and Power BI Report Server. Available data services encompass all database models, including SQL Engine and Analysis Services (both Tabular and Multidimensional), as well as all data visualisation services supported within this environment. This environment serves all Microsoft BI features to many business users in a centrally managed and Self-Service model.
Results
- Allowing to start Business Intelligence adoption program to many departments, e.g. Finance, Controlling, HR, and Production consisting of 20+ independent BI solutions (all delivered by Elitmind)
- Creating a new reporting and data exploration layer on top of old-fashioned SAP BW allows for shortened analytics processes, eliminating manual Excel-based and time-consuming data integration
- Shorten total BI solution delivery time and adopt a try-and-buy approach to business
- .Integrate major data source systems into the single data model
- Improving global Power BI adoption initiative
- Delivering SQL Server 2016 Advanced Analytics capabilities
Tailored for success
"This wasn't just about replacing old technology - it was about changing how a global manufacturing giant makes decisions. We built a platform that serves 20+ different BI solutions across multiple countries, but the real success was seeing how departments could collaborate seamlessly using the same data model. The self-service approach meant business units could innovate at their own pace while maintaining enterprise-grade governance across the entire organization."
Our Approach
Evaluate existing data landscape, define scalability requirements, and design multi-server, highly available BI architecture that can support enterprise-wide adoption across multiple departments.
Establish unified data models that consolidate disparate source systems (including legacy SAP BW) into a single, coherent data platform supporting both tabular and multidimensional analysis services.
Deploy centrally managed yet self-service BI capabilities that empower business users across Finance, Controlling, HR, and Production departments to create their own reports and analytics solutions.
Implement multi-server Microsoft BI stack farms with built-in scalability and high availability features to ensure consistent performance as user adoption grows across the organization.
Create new reporting and data exploration capabilities on top of existing systems, replacing manual Excel-based processes with automated, real-time Power BI visualizations and advanced analytics.
Implement a try-and-buy approach for rapid delivery of BI solutions, enabling faster time-to-market for business intelligence initiatives while supporting global Power BI adoption programs.
