We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Consultant to join our Data Platform & BI team on a freelance basis. This role is essential in leading complex business intelligence initiatives and delivering enterprise-grade analytical solutions that empower organizations to make informed, data-driven decisions across the entire data lifecycle from integration and modeling to advanced reporting and self-service analytics.

You are a seasoned Power BI expert with extensive experience in enterprise-scale business intelligence implementations and advanced analytical solution delivery. You have deep technical expertise in Power BI, modern data platforms, and Microsoft ecosystem, combined with exceptional consulting skills that enable you to lead complex projects independently and deliver transformative business outcomes.

You thrive as an independent consultant who can take ownership of end-to-end BI initiatives, work autonomously while collaborating effectively with client teams, and deliver high-value solutions that drive strategic business decisions while staying at the forefront of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric innovations.

How you fit in

Key technologies: Power BI, SQL, Power Query, Databricks, Azure

At least two years of experience in the Power BI platform field.
Proficiency in SQL, Power Query (M language), and DAX.
Understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
Solid experience with designing dimensional data models, including Power BI design patterns.
Good understanding of data visualization design principles.
Experience and willingness to conduct training and workshops in the Power BI area.
Experience with Azure DevOps or any other work-tracking service.
Knowledge of Azure and data engineering fundamentals.
Understanding Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures.
Familiarity with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Snowflake data platform.
Proficiency with Azure Data Factory and data orchestration approach.
