We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Specialist - Team Leader to join our dynamic team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities, overseeing data platform operations while guiding and developing our technical team.

You are an experienced data platform specialist with strong SQL skills and proven leadership abilities. You have hands-on experience with BI tools, database development, and DevOps practices, combined with the confidence to make technical and organizational decisions in fast-paced environments.
You thrive in environments where you can solve technical challenges while leading a team, engaging with business stakeholders, and contributing to data platform strategy development through coaching and mentoring.
How you fit in
Team Leadership & Management
- Coordinate the work of the Data Platform team, including planning and executing operational and development tasks
- Support team development through coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Delegate tasks, set priorities, and support the development of team capabilities
- Monitor team performance and initiate process improvements where needed
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy
- Represent the team in interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Engage with business stakeholders and present team outcomes effectively
- Contribute to the definition and execution of data platform strategy
- Maintain contact and collaboration with colleagues and business users
Technical Operations & Development
- Monitor the operation and processes of data ingestion into Data Warehouses
- Solve problems, resolve requests, and handle them efficiently in IT support ticket systems
- Develop and optimize databases, including creating stored procedures and tables
- Support DevOps processes and implement CI/CD pipelines, including Azure Data Factory pipelines
Platform Administration & Support
- Signal deviations, report disruptions, and quickly resolve identified issues in functionality and performance
- Perform basic platform and user administration tasks
- Test and implement new platform functionalities to enhance system capabilities
- Create reports and implement changes to existing solutions using Power BI
We expect you to have
Professional Experience
- Recent experience with SQL and SQL optimization techniques
- Hands-on experience with BI tools for reporting and analysis
- Strong skills in database development and maintenance
- Experience in leading technical teams or mentoring junior team members
- Proven experience in engaging with business stakeholders
Technical Expertise
- General knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Desk processes
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, particularly in pipeline creation and maintenance
- Working knowledge of stored procedures and database development
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake is a plus
- Familiarity with Python would be an advantage

Compensation
B2B Contract | 14,000 - 22,000 PLN net monthly
